چکیده

Coronary artery disease (CAD) commonly occurs in individuals over the age of 45 years. Several studies categorize “young” with CAD or acute myocardial infarction as those below ages 40 and 45. The protection provided by young has slowly been eroded risk factors like smoking, obesity, sedentary lifestyle that are becoming more common among individuals. We report a case 21-year-old male family history premature coronary disease, who presented anterior wall ST elevation infarction. angiogram revealed 100% thrombotic occlusion proximal left descending artery. Further evaluation lesion morphology using optical coherence tomography plaque erosion. Thrombolysis Myocardial Infarction grade III flow was achieved after thrombus aspiration. Stent deployment deferred to avoid need for lifelong medication its associated side effects patient. Due their anti-thrombotic qualities, we also recommend novel oral anticoagulants this situation short-term therapy.
